9) Email Router

9.1 Don’t forget to update your email router (CRM 2013)

note that the email router no longer exists in CRM 2013, it’s been replaced by the mail synchronisation functionality which you can configure through the settings > email section of the tool. If I understand correctly you should be able to point that at GMail.

I did an intergration with Hotmail but I used a local Outlook Client to do the actual synchronisation.

… the training info for CRM 2013 I’d been through so far said that email router was being deprecated in favour of the new email synchronisation functionality in CRM 2013 – that email sync would be “baked into” CRM 2013 rather than needing the separate email router component.

Checking http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics/crm-customer-center/email-processing-through-server-side-synchronization.aspx it says: –

Server-side synchronization connects Microsoft Dynamics CRM with one or more Exchange servers or POP3 servers to set up incoming email, and one or more SMTP or Exchange servers to set up outgoing email”

10) Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Customization New Features

10.1   Supported extensions for Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Customizations using Microsoft Dynamics web application

Customizations using the Microsoft Dynamics CRM SDK

                 Support for .NET Framework versions

                Unsupported customizations

t’s certainly supported to create a stored procedure that reads data for the CRM Organizational Database; as long as it’s outside the CRM Org Database itself (and not in the MSCRM_CONFIG either)

11) Background Process Navigation in CRM 2013

You may notice that background process navigation in CRM 2013 does not appear by default. Here’s how you can turn it on. (Missing the ability to navigate to background processes in your #CRM2013 records? Roberto Nocera’s insight: Add executed workflow t… http://sco.lt/6bK2BF
